  August 5th the workers started on the roof. They had to take off 4 layers of shingles.         Working on the west side.         The finished west side.         The south side before they started

  Today the four of us jumped in the car and headed 2 hours east & south to Wilber, NE for their annual Czech Festival. Dad had never been to it, and one of the fellows at the elevator must have sold it to him,

Our digital camera has a “fireworks” setting, which I put to good use on the 4th. But as cool as the photos turned out, they just can’t compare with the real thing. So how to make them a little more exciting? Why, turn them into a video, of course. 😉

So I’m taking 4th of July pictures with our digital camera and decide to switch to video mode. And when I had trouble getting the huge files uploaded, I did a little searching and found a video editing program on our laptop I never knew

Today was a day for eating out. First, Carrol treated
us to The Green Gateau for a late breakfast.

We spent the afternoon chatting,
reading, and playing on our computers. For supper we
opted for fast food. Monte and I had never heard of
Chipotle Mexican Grill, but they had great food!
