Monte and I spent July 4 & 5 at Marcy & Tim’s, along with Carrol. Marcy & Tim always put on a big 4th of July bash, with plenty of friends, food (the pulled-pork sandwiches were especially good), games, drums & kazoos, and fireworks. Their

Mom, Dad, Monte and I drove home via Chadron, Alliance, and Broken Bow. Highway 2 is a scenic route, but kinda pales in comparison to the Black Hills.

Today Monte and I went with Carrol, Marcy, Willy, Carole, and Niles for a drive on Iron Mountain Road, which features lots of beautiful scenery. Iron Mountain Road has long been a favorite of the Mickleys, and is where Marshall’s ashes were spread.
