Cream Cheese Frosting
A versatile frosting for cakes and cupcakes.
Equipment
- Mixer
Ingredients
- ¼ cup butter, room temperature
- 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature (1 package)
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp maple or other flavoring optional
Directions
- Cream butter and cream cheese together. Add extracts.
- Add powdered sugar one cup at a time, continuously beating. Beat until smooth.
- Frosts 48 cupcakes or 1 cake.
