Italian Herb Bread
This recipe came with my bread maker and it’s become one of my favorites. It’s hard to stop at just one slice!
Italian Herb Bread
So good you can't stop with just one slice!

Ingredients
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tbl butter or margarine, melted
- 2 tbl sugar
- 1½ tsp active dry yeast
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp dried marjoram
- ½ tsp dried rosemary
- ½ tsp dried basil
- 2 cups flour
- cooking spray
Directions
- If using a mixer, use dough hook.
- In mixing bowl, stir together warm water, butter, sugar, and yeast. Let sit five minutes or until mixture is foamy.
- Stir in salt and herbs. Add flour one cup at a time. Mix until dough forms into a ball. If it's very sticky, sprinkle in more flour.
- Dump out onto floured surface and knead dough until it's smooth.
- Spray bread pan with cooking spray. Spread dough in pan and cover with waxed paper. Let rise until doubled. Punch down dough, cover, and let rise again until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 350°. Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Makes 1 loaf.
