This recipe, adapted from Betty Crocker’s Cookbook for Boys and Girls, is the one I had as a child. The original used just milk; I switched that up to milk and half & half to make it a bit creamier. And I mix it in the blender; so quick & easy when you want just a glass or two of eggnog. 😊

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbl sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ¼ tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup half & half
  • nutmeg

Directions

  • Crack egg into the blender and blend on high for 1 minute.
  • Add sugar and salt. Blend for another minute.
  • Add vanilla, milk, and half & half. Blend for ten seconds.
  • Pour into glasses and sprinkle with nutmeg. Makes two servings.
